Title: Descendant of the Legendary Can Opener
Background:
First, a brief history on the world of Imperius Draconis. It was once a typical fantasy world, with the dominant humans, elves, dwarves... everything you'd expect from Dungeons and Dragons. But with a lot of dragons. While it isn't unusual for chromatic dragons to be slain by adventurers, but metallics in this world would sometimes face the greed of humanoid-kind. It came to a point that, after numerous clandestine meetings, the chromatics, metallics, and other varying types of dragons had forged an unusual alliance to wage war on the humanoids.
One particular dragon of note, a black chromatic female dragon by the name of Mitellux was responsible for quite a number of espionage strikes into humanoid defenses by utilizing her human form to great effect. That's not to say that she didn't use her natural state to great effect when it was called for, though.
However, this isn't her story, and so suffice it to say that she played a big role in assuring the dragons' victory over the humanoids. The black dragons however were the most devastated, having been hunted often even before the war. They looked to Mitellux to help repopulate... but she was uninterested in the males. To ensure their survival, and as a reward for Mitellux's involvement, she was magically enchanted to never age.
As time went on, the world's technology and magic advanced so far ahead that they attracted the attention of a multiversal organization known as Confuto Ordinatio. They allied themselves with the organization, and discovered technology that would allow them to repopulate their black dragon numbers... though it still required Mitellux's involvement, but at least she didn't have to mate with anybody she didn't like.
And so, finally, we come to the story that this application is meant for:
Ixthalluz is the absolute youngest of Mitellux's offspring, and the last that will ever be born from her. The clutch she was born into initially numbered at sixteen. The eldest sibling of that clutch had maintained some level of domination over his younger brothers and sister, which came to an end some years after Ixthalluz was born.
It happened one day while the clutch was alone in the lair. It was rather unusual for such a large number of dragons to even go that long without a death, especially for black dragons, but the infighting suddenly erupted. Ixthalluz managed to stay relatively unnoticed... though, a few instances it became obvious that her siblings were ignoring her. The youngest certainly wasn't a threat, right?
A part of Ixthalluz, her growing pride as a dragon, was enraged by this. It was certainly a childish reaction, but she was still a child by dragon standards after all. In a surprise move, she suddenly tackled onto her eldest sibling, clawing and biting with everything she had. Despite his gross superiority due to their age difference, Ixthalluz managed to kill her brother as the others looked on in awe. With the death of the eldest, the battle had suddenly ceased. In the end, only five had survived that day.
At the time, the others were actually frightened of Ixthalluz. However, as time went on, they began to think it was just plain luck that she had managed to defeat the eldest. Though they didn't outright try to kill her, they did began to re-assert their dominance over her. She tried to fight back at first, but it soon became obvious to her that she wouldn't be able to pull off the same feat she had against their eldest. Even when the other four began fighting amongst themselves, she kept out of it. It hurt her pride, but some bit of common sense in her told her that getting involved would only see her injured... or worse. She told herself that she needed to bide her time until she could do anything.
A number of years went by like this, although one more sibling died, before the others eventually moved out one by one. Ixthalluz was more than eager to follow in their footsteps, though something felt empty in her life as she finally began living in her own lair. Sitting on treasure hoards and being waited on hand and foot by servants... what kind of life was that, after the excitement of living with her siblings who might have killed her at a moments notice? As scared as she was at times, there was still something about it that she missed. And how was she supposed to prove herself?
And then, the answer became obvious: Confuto Ordinatio. Especially that division 0134 that she's heard so much about the last year or so.
Thus she was accepted into their ranks, and she soon came to realize just how much more smaller she was. There were quite a few people that treated her poorly, though there were some that actually managed to befriend her. Most notably was one woman with similar eye and hair color to Ixthalluz's own, who became something of a surrogate mother/sister to her.
But one day, she was transferred to another division abruptly; and for some reason receiving a gift from her mother in the form of a powerful knife... apparently Mitellux had high expectations of her, as Ixthalluz was the only one of her children to join the ranks of CO. It also might have been due to the fact that some people in her new division had some anti-dragon sentiments. Yes, Ixthalluz had something of a hard time in her new division.
Some time later, she heard of a certain person's trial and tried to contest it as much as she could... which wasn't much, sadly.
Personality:
Ixthalluz has a rather disjointed personality. On the surface, around most species, she will try to make herself appear as strong. Her attitude may come off as having a superiority complex, but it's more of overcoming her feelings of inferiority that came with living with her siblings. Around humans, she used to quite often voice her dominance because she's a dragon. Considering humanoids are more or less servants in Imperius Draconus, this isn't entirely unusual among her kind. However, she's unlikely to actually want to get into a fight with anybody...
After spending some time among humanoids in general... while she had some vague fascination of them before, she's over all grown rather wary of them except those that manage to get close to her. She's found out the hard way that it doesn't matter how small somebody is, that small body could very well be hiding the strength of somebody who could bowl her over with a thrown desk while she is in dragon form. She'll still try to act like a prideful dragon, but she's quick to flee if she feels she may be pissing off somebody who could very well be more powerful than her. She really has a strange mix of racial pride and fear, but the latter will always win out when her life is clearly in danger.
Because of her inferiority issue, she feels a strong need to prove herself. Her actions can often be thought of as rash and impulsive... and yet, it's also because of her complex that she will hold herself back if she gets the idea that pushing ahead will only get herself killed or humiliated. Speaking of being rash, it's not unusual for her to make a comments or do something that'll set off somebody she dislikes.
With other dragons, she acts somewhat differently. Due to the peace accords of her world, she generally treats other dragons with some amount of respect. Specifically, she holds high regard for her mother as well as a particularly high standing dragon from her home world. Though dragons of other worlds will really vary, depending on how much they're different from dragons she knows of. She might try to act dominate over weaker dragons, though, depending...
Evilities: First and foremost, Ixthalluz is a 18 foot long dragon that weighs about two tons, with a 9 foot long tail, has claws and very nasty teeth. Which means against normal sized people she's a threat just with her natural form. Also, obviously, she can fly.
She also has acid breath, is immune to acid, can create a considerably large sphere of darkness (good for hiding in!), corrupt water, can cause plant growth (either by overgrowing areas to make them harder to pass through or enriching farm plants or such), summon locusts, and can charm non-sentient reptiles.
Ixthalluz also has spellcasting potential, being able to draw upon a number of typical D&D style spells. Nothing particularly high level, but still a threat in the field of magic combat nonetheless.
She can also transform into a human form. She retains some, but not all, of her draconic strength; so she is stronger than normal humans even in this form. All her innate powers and spellcasting abilities are useable in this form, but her acid breath will cover considerably less ground for obvious reasons.
While not complete protection, she does have some resistance against spells. Obviously, in dragon form, her scales provide a good amount of protection against mundane weaponry.
For all of this, though, she's actually at her best when doing stealth-based functions...
Inventory:
Enough currency to live at least “comfortably” for a good while.
A small (by dragon standards) treasure hoard, comfortable to sleep on. (not to be converted to NW currency)
A PDA with a radar function, but the batteries are unique and likely not rechargeable in the Netherworld.
A set of claws to attach over her hands in human form.
Headgear that can amplify and/or change her breath attack.
A knife that is enchanted with powerful magic (just means more damage/counts as a 5+ weapon so she can murder people normally immune to weapons).
A normal house cat named Thorazine
A sapphire necklace, which has a minor protection enchantment on it
Notes: She has memories from her time at a livejournal game called Planeocracy.
